Azores Airlines to connect Rhode Island to Azores with new A321 aircraft Warwick, RI -- Azores Airlines will resume its very popular nonstop service this summer from T.F. Green Airport in Rhode Island to Ponta Delgada, Azores. The service operates on Fridays from June 8 through September 28, 2018. Tickets are on sale now, with airfare starting at $572 + taxes for round trip travel this summer. Azores Airlines will offer this summer’s service on its new fleet of A321NEO aircraft. The A321NEO carries up to 186 passengers. With the widest single-aisle cabin on the market, every flight will offer modern comfort in every class.

WARWICK- MONEY Magazine recently named the City of Warwick the best place to live in Rhode Island, Mayor Scott Avedisian announced. The ranking comes just a month after Wallet Hub named Warwick the “best” community with the lowest number of violent crimes and the third safest community in America. MONEY credits Warwick’s rich military, nautical and industrial history, along with its central location, international airport and sweeping views of Narragansett Bay for the ranking. Also contributing is the vibrant art scene, picturesque downtown and 39 miles of coastline.

The R.I. Commerce Corp. has applied for what effectively will be a statewide designation as a Foreign Trade Zone, under an administrative rule that allows an existing trade zone to be broadened within 60 miles of the U.S. Customs port of entry. In Rhode Island, that port happens to be in Warwick, which would put all of the state into a Foreign Trade Zone. If the expansion is authorized, all companies in the state would become eligible to apply for designation as an approved zone user, according to John Riendeau, director of business development for Commerce RI.

Warwick, R.I. – January 18, 2018 – Rhode Island’s housing market continued to gain strength in 2017 according to the latest report from the Rhode Island Association of Realtors and its subsidiary, State-Wide Multiple Listing Service. For the fifth consecutive year, the number of single-family homes sold rose year-over-year, eclipsing previous records. The data reveals that 11,282 single-family homes were sold in the Ocean State last year, up from 11,066 in 2016. The median price of those sales climbed 6.3 percent to $255,000.
