T. F. Green Airport Named a Winner in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Award!

Ranked #3 in the nation and consecutive year for achieving top honors in the country

WARWICK, RI - Friday, February 12, 2021 – USA Today has named T. F. Green Airport as a winner in the 2021 “USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice” travel award contest for “Best Small Airport” in the nation.  T. F. Green Airport placed 3rd in the nationwide poll after being nominated as one of the Top 20 small airports in the country by a panel of travel experts. 

“We continue to be honored by the continued support shown by Rhode Islanders and throughout the nation who consider T. F. Green Airport their airport of choice,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, President and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.  “All at T. F. Green Airport take pride that our commitment to excellence has been recognized by travel experts and passengers alike, and hope that these continued honors will help foster a quicker recovery to the region’s travel and tourism economy.”

According to USA Today’s “Ten Best” website: “Loyal fans of T. F. Green Airport in Rhode Island love it as an alternative to Boston Logan for its lack of crowds and lines and quick access to Providence and Boston via a dedicated train station. It is also an excellent option for travelers heading to Cape Cod.” 

T. F. Green Airport also offered its congratulations to Myrtle Beach International Airport, which took top honors after spending much of the contest at the number one spot.  T. F. The efforts of local cities bolstered local efforts to support T. F. Green Airport in the contest, residents, tourism councils and other local businesses, including the New England Patriots, who have named T. F. Green Airport the “Official Airport of the New England Patriots.” All of these cities, residents, councils, and businesses enthusiastically voted in support of T. F. Green Airport for the “Best Small Airport” award.
